This is a recipe for Chicken and Biscuits

Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Saute onion, celery, carrots, and potatoes in margarine for 10 minutes
  3. Add flour to sauteed mixture, stirring well. Cook one minute, stirring constantly
  4. Combine broth and creamer, and gradually stir into vegetable mixture
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened and bubbly
  6. Spoon biscuit dough in large spoonfulls over top the chicken mixture (Note, usually end with with 5 x 3 in a 9" x 13" pan)
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown
Directions for Biscuits:
  1. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and chives in a large bowl
  2. Using your finger tips (or the dough tool), rub margarine into dry ingredients until the mixture looks like crumbs. Do so fast to avoid fats melting
  3. Add egg and soy milk/creamer
  4. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon (any spoon will do in a pinch, but wood avoids sticking!) until mixture comes together
